Swim Lessons Policies and Procedures

  • The Chatham County Aquatic Center offers swim lessons year-round. Registration begins on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 12:00 PM for the next month's lessons.
  • When you sign-up for swim lessons, you have reserved and paid for a space that is in high demand. Please make sure that your schedule is clear of appointments and other activities that interfere with the classes for which you have enrolled. Swim lessons cannot be rescheduled or made up and refunds, credits or transfers will not be issued for any missed classes.
  • Please be on time. It is very important that swimmers are ready to get in the water at the start of the lesson! As a courtesy to students and instructors, students who arrive more than 15 minutes late will not be able to participate in the class.
  • Swimsuits are required and goggles are highly recommended. Do not forget your towel!
  • Parents are required to stay on the pool deck during swim lessons.
  • The swim lesson fee does not include RECREATIONAL SWIMMING BEFORE OR AFTER LESSONS. If the student swims before or after the lesson, daily admission must be paid with a visible wristband.
