The Chatham Kraken Swim team is a developmental program for swimmers looking to take their swim skills to the next level. This team is designed to increase fitness and endurance levels while introducing the sport of competitive swimming to individuals. Swimmers learn and refine competitive strokes, develop an understanding of basic training principles and are introduced to competitive swimming in a fun and low-key environment.

Swimmers must be able to:

• Swimmers must be able to complete 50 yds Freestyle, 50 yds. Backstroke, 50 yds, Breaststroke and 25yds. Butterfly.
• Swim comfortably in deep water. All practices are held in the Lap Pool (7-9 ft at 78-82°F)

• Fall Season, Winter Season and Summer Season. Each season will have a 2 week free trial followed by a 10 week swim season.
• The practice schedule will be Monday and Wednesday from 5:30-6:30PM.
• The cost for each season will be $120.00 payable on successful completion of the trial period.
• Registration will open at 12:00PM for each season. All participants will need to register for each season even if they have prior experience on the swim team.
• There will be 36 spaces available for each season and a waiting list will be created to fill any slots that become available during the free trial period.

Please note that no payment is needed at the time of registration. Once the 2 week free trial has been successfully completed, payment will be required for continued participation.
